I never thought I would write a blog. I mean, really, why would I want to share my personal life with the world? But then I turned 33 and decided to try to have a baby. And I mentioned it on Facebook. And my incredibly supportive friends chimed in. And I realized that there was a part of my life that would be best shared in this format.
But at the same time, I knew that I would be going through some things that I didn’t want to share, at least not while they were happening. I know that if I do get pregnant, I don’t want to broadcast that until I’m through the first trimester. So I did start writing blog posts, but I didn’t create the blog, not right away. I held onto them until they could be published with enough of a cushion that they will always be at least three months old.
So, at least for a while, the news you’ll read here is old. But because I know that some of those dear, dear friends are probably wondering what’s been going on for the past year, I wanted to start sharing my journey. And maybe my experience will be useful to other single women.
One final thing, language which I am stealing from The Yarn Harlot. I won’t come into your living room and be rude to you, so if you choose to comment, please be respectful of everyone who writes on this blog. (And if you’re a knitter who has yet to discover The Yarn Harlot, please enjoy. She is delightful!)
